Accessibility Policy

Hamilton Park Care Facility is committed to making the Heron House website accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to offer a clear, unhurried experience that works with keyboards, screen readers, and other assistive technology.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people with disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive needs.

We review this policy as the site changes, and we continue to improve where we find barriers.

Pages use a skip-to-content link, a clear heading structure, and labelled navigation. Images that convey meaning have alternative text. Interactive controls have accessible names, and focus styles remain visible when you move through the page with a keyboard.

Motion is reduced when your device is set to prefer reduced motion.

Some pages rely on photography to show the house and garden. We describe those images in alternative text, but a photograph cannot carry every detail of a space.

If you find a part of the site that is difficult to use, please tell us. We will work to improve it.
